Removing Carbon

Running Tide is a global ocean health company that partners with nature to remove carbon. Seemingly ahead of their time, Running Tide seeds carbon buoys with select species of algae, such as Kelp, which grow rapidly. They convert nutrients to biomass at the surface of the ocean and can be up to three times more efficient at fixing carbon than phytoplankton. Once at a sufficient weight and attached to their carbon buoys, they sink through the water column enhancing the biological carbon pump. What a fantastic, and quite frankly revolutionary, method of carbon sequestration.
